Le Morne Mauritius
Mauritius is one of the few places in the world where you have a full range of conditions for all level kitersurfers, from total beginners to pro’s. Turquoise lagoons, white sandy beaches plus steady side-on trade winds, easy-to-ride spots as well as seriously advanced wave spots; this is the number one kite destination for all kite surfers. The wide lagoon and shallow flat water at Le Morne is ideal for beginners and advanced riders. Plus you’ll have the protection of the reef.
If you are a wave lover or want to become one? No problem! The waves are a mere 600 m away. Some of the best in the world are right here at Le Morne. The famous Manawa and One Eye wave are not for the faint-hearted.
You’ll enjoy free riding and wake style to your heart content. Plus lots of downwind glides in the steady South easterly winds. Kite surfers from all over the world come to this idyllic island in the Indian Ocean to enjoy the perfect kite surfing conditions. The atmosphere here is amazing and during the two hours at low tide you can relax and take a rest from all the intention.
The main wind season is from June to the end of September. The water temperature is 22°C on average. The wind is between 18 to 35 knots.
Accommodation
For our guests we have arranged one of the best available villa’s in the Le Morne area. The large villa features 3 bedrooms in the main house and 2 independent guest house. It is located on a family property of 800 acres and offer a spectacular view on the famous Le Morne mountain classified Mondial patrimony by Unesco and also on the splendid “Benitier island” This region close to nature provide calm and serenity.
Our amazing villa comes with daily cleaning, linen and towels are provided and a healthy breakfast.
Other activities
Next to kitesurfing, which will be our main goal of course, Mauritius has so much more to offer. We will be organizing several other activities, like swimming with dolphins, a hike up UNESCO World Heritage Le Morne mountain and a visit to the most beautiful waterfalls in the area.

Just recently, September, I joined Cocokitetravel in Mauritius.
We stayed in a very relaxed Lodge with a nice atmosphere on a hill with mountains in the backround overlooking the ocean on both sites. It also had a pool overlooking all. Great spot! It was 15 minutes away from the beach were the conditions were very good for beginners up to professional kitesurfers. Water was shallow and flat because of a reef about 1.5 km away from the beach and especially in the afternoons there was strong contant wind.
Breakfast was being taking care of by two nice local lady’s and the rooms and Lodge were being cleaned every day. In the evening catering was ordered and a fish barbecue was organised once a week. There are also nice restaurants nearby were good food is served for the right price.I would certainly join Cocokitetravel again, not only for the fantastic location, but also for the well managed and relaxed host Marcel. Thank you! 🙂
Onlangs, september, ben ik met Cocokitetravel naar Mauritius geweest. We verbleven in een zeer relaxte lodge met een gezellige sfeer, op een heuvel met bergen op de achtergrond en uitzicht op de oceaan aan beide zijden. Het privé zwembad had uitzicht op alles. Geweldige plek! Het was 15 minuten van het strand waar de omstandigheden zeer goed waren voor beginnende tot professionele kitesurfers. Het water was ondiep en vlak vanwege een rif op ongeveer 1,5 km afstand van het strand en vooral in de middag was er sterke contant wind.Het ontbijt werd verzorgd door twee aardige lokale dames en de kamers van de Lodge werden elke dag schoongemaakt. ‘s Avonds werd er catering besteld en eenmaal per week een heerlijke visbarbecue georganiseerd. Er zijn ook leuke restaurants in de buurt, waar goed eten wordt geserveerd voor de juiste prijs. Ik zou zeker weer met Cocokitetravel meegaan, niet alleen vanwege de fantastische locatie, maar ook voor de goede organisatie en ontspannen gastheer Marcel. Dank je! 🙂

Helemaal te gek! Heb enorm genoten van de Mauritius trip, ik zou zeker weer gaan! Super leuke groep, heerlijk eten, prachtige villa met een ademend uitzicht, geweldige kite spots en geen wind activiteiten!

Mauritius is een topbestemming! Bijna alle dagen kunnen kiten op één van de mooiste plekken ter wereld. Marcel had een geweldig verblijf geregeld en ook het eten was zeer goed verzorgd. Een dagje rust werd ingepland met een boottocht en zwemmen met dolfijnen, en een bezoekje aan de watervallen. De groep was super, ik zou zo weer gaan! Cocokitetravel…Absoluut aan te bevelen!
Mauritius is a top destination, we could kite almost every day on one of the most beautiful places in the world. Marcel had arranged an awesome villa and the food was very well organized as well. One day of rest was planned in with a boat trip to swim with dolphins and a visit to the waterfalls. The group was amazing; I would go again at any moment! Cocokitetravel… Absolutely recommendable!
Echt top vakantie gehad. Marcel had alles tot in de puntjes geregeld. Hoogtepunten waren de kreeft BBQ, met dolfijnen zwemmen en het spontane avondstrandfeest/bbq. Natuurlijk ook veel gevaren op Mauritius 😃👍
Really had a magnificent holiday. Marcel had organized everything to the last detail. Highlights were the lobster BBQ, swimming with dolphins and the spontaneous beach party/bbq. Of course I also sailed a lot in Mauritius 😃👍👍👍👍👍
